Vā is a concept in Sāmoa and other Oceanian cultures.
The most famous definition was written by Samoan scholar Albert Wendt—‘Va is the space between, the betweenness, not empty space, not space that separates but space that relates, that holds separate entities and things together in the Unity-that-is-All, the space that is context, giving meaning to things.’
Faikakala is a casual word in gagana Sāmoa referring to a particular kind of gossip or person who gossips. It's meaning is best explained in this Youtube video.
Whakahoki kōrero means ‘backchat’ or ‘provide feedback’ in te reo Māori.
